Our company has been working with Kinetix to test out the high flow cats and test pipes w/res for the FI Z's
You will see my one of my posts from a couple months ago GReddy TT DYNO w/ test pipes w/resonators that we made 37 HP with the Test pipes w/res.
Last few Dyno runs we did were testing out the high flow cats.
We constantly get emails on which to get, and we wanted Dyno charts to show.
Well with our test, with exchanging the test pipes with the High Flow cats, we lost over 20 HP!
I could tell by driving it was considerable.
With the test pipes in 3rd gear, I can romp on her, and the wheels will break free (and that is with 20 x 10 1/2 285 wheels and tires)
With the high flow cats, I could not.
Also the high flow cats were louder, due to the back pressure.
Just thought I would post and share these findings.
If anyone needs more info, feel free to pm me.
I will post Dynos later to show the results

This is great information for turbo owners. This is why most of the turbo guys run test pipes. I would suspect similar gains for supercharged cars but not to the same degree. (turbos are exhaust driven) Back in my Supra days a downpipe (testpipe) would add 30rwhp. The high flow cats added roughly half, like ACP has shown.
Let us know what happens 2003. I also think headers will make a significant increase in performance for you. I chose Crawford headers. My car will be dynoed next week and I am expecting 415rwhp + numbers at 9PSI.

No problem
Would be cool to have stock cats, but I am not going to go backwards.
Only doing Dyno's as I go
While I am having fun playing with thie Dynojet program
Here is 2 more.
Stock exhaust with test pipes
vs
GReddy Evo2 w/test pipes
HP @3500 RPM's
180 vs 210 +30 gain
Torgue @3500 RPM's
270 vs 315 +45 gain

Quite Impressive!

Interesting that you have PSP open at the same time... not "fixing" the charts are you?
j/k I am really starting to love the sound of the Kinetix Test Pipes w/Resonators.

How loud are they? I have the cats and they sound great, just wonder how much power I will be down compared to the pipes with resonators? With no turbo's to spool up, I wonder how much difference it would make on a Vorteched Z.
