Default Oil change on the ATI?

Hey guys, the oil in my procharger was looking kinda dark so i decided to do an oil change with the syringe and hose kit from ATI. The problem is, there is no room for an allen wrench to unscrew the bolt. Should i just hack saw off the short end of the allen wrench to make it fit? Thanx.

If you're doing your first oil change, I'd recommend not doing it with the syringe and drain it normally. What allen wrench are you talking about? The drain plug is a 5/16" bolt from what I remember.

Isnt this the bolt that needs to be removed for the syringe/sucker to go into for easy oil changes?

And this will be my second oil change.

No, the syringe is used in the top screw, where I indicated with a large black arrow.

On the first oil change, did you it get done by removing the plug on the bottom of the blower and draining it out of there? If not you really should do it that way.

10 bucks from ATI. After seeing it, its pretty simple and only consist of 2 parts. A plastic syringe, like something for injecting flavor into a turkey, and a 3 foot long clear flexible plastic tube, maybe an air line hose for an aquarium.

I drained my first from the bottom then second from the top.

ATI gave me my "oil sucker" for free but I have spent some money there. Quite a bit.

It's only 10 bucks and works well. You can call them and order it from a Tech.

Phhhffft... I had to cut the tip of the hose sharply for it to flex all the way in the Procharger. The drawback was I couldnt get all the oil out i think.

That's might not be good, don't want to overfill the supercharger.

Yea, I only used about 2/3 of the 2.5 ounce bottle and checked the dip stick half a dozen times. That thing is hard to read.

Oddly, my dirty oil wasnt as dark as Dr Bonz's.

You should be able to get all of it, you want to be exact, maybe your is defective it's just plastic, I didn't have to cut mine and I got it all. I wouldn't want to guess on oil amounts it's a small unit.

I was standing there for 10 minutes trying to push the hose past the kink. Did yours go in on your first few tries? Did you have to bend or angle your hose? I wish they used a smaller hose cause it would have worked a whole lot easier IMO. According to my dipstick, im not past the max level of oil... I think.

Look at my thread (scroll up a few posts and click the links I posted). It has pics and everything. You have to take the front belt off first.

My bottom bolt must be on tight as F**K. I gave up after 30 mins and just used the sucker thingy.
