Talking Just a question about mods

Can anyone achieve 300 wrhp without forced induction?
(I don't want a car too fast)

I want to find mods that will get me up to 300 that's cheap and easy to install. Haha, I'll just get my neighbors to help me out install for cheaper price, they build cars for "fun" all the time.

So car, I can only think of

intake and exhuast ~ 20 hp (if I'm lucky)

camshafts ~ 15

hm.. where can I get the last 25 hp?

thanks guys

these mods will cost around $2,500-$3,000
so far

you gonna nead alot more than 25 more hp after what you listed. Intake and exhaust lucky if you get 8rwhp, cams maybe 10, headers maybe 9, plenum maybe 6, pulleys maybe 2, ground kit at least 35rwhp, that it, grounding kit is the answer!!!!!

it was a joke, grounding wires will give you 2hp at best.
Your numbers are very high, 300rwhp is impossible without internal work or FI

you could acheive 300 n/a if you want to spend big bucks on a stroker kit! Without FI it is hard to get 300n/a. you would have to do major engine work. Everything you list might bring you up to 260-280 might

Pulleys, Plenum, Headers, Cats, True Dual Exhuast, Flywheel, Cams, and one hell of a tuner. Good tuning vs average tuning could be as much as 15 rwhp. Im pretty sure that should be good for 280 rwhp. After that, its probably cheaper to start tossing out mats, spare tire, tools, and what ever you can live w/o before you go for a stroker kit or new heads.

okay lets see so far
..... price..... hp gain
plenum 400..... 8
header 600..... 10
flywheel 400 ..... 8
cams 1200 ..... 15
intake 250 ..... 7
ground
kit 100 ..... 5
borla
exhausts 720 ..... 15

total price ~3800 (including shipping)
total hp gain

total hp gain ~ 68

235 + 68 = 303 at wheels

but this is just estimate.. it may be higher or lower

It will be lower than SAE corrected 303 at the wheels. More like 275. The labor costs to install cams, flywheel, and header are significant as well.

simple::

displacement (overbore, or stroker, or both)

OR

nitros.... (75 shot)

cost/labor difference b/w the two is HUGE!

myself, well, i take delivery this week, and have ordered a full exhaust, testpipes, various lil goodies, AND votech already.......

you can NEVER have a car w/ too much power, IMO

I know ALL dyno's are different... but we can't seem to pull 280RWHP with my car no matter what we try! So far it has....
CAI, Cams, Headers, JIC Y-pipe, Cat's, Exhaust, U/D Pulley, Ported/Polished Heads, T/S ECU, Flywheel... etc. We were going to give into a plenum next but have decided to do the TT thing instead.

Jeff,

are you going to be using the Nismo heads with TT? or do you know of anybody using them yet, interested in knowing how they perform
