Hello I just traded in my 3rd audi S4 T.T car for my brand new 04 liquid aluminum 350z. Of course like a lot of you here I am dying to install some kind of FI on this car right away!

Anyway finding any reliable concrete data as to how much boost these z engines can sefely handle on the stock internals seems to be impossible so does anybody here know how much boost the stock rods and pistons the 3.5l engine can handle and rougly max hp they are capable to safely run?

I would hate to see the price tag of a blown engine repair! I've seen a lot of references to blown engines on this site but no in depth descriptions as to why or how these motors blew.

Any info would be greatly appreciated thanks!

As far as I know nobody has blown up a motor by simply making too much power. They were all blown by bad tuneing. I could be wrong.

 

Etx you are running the greddy system which is what im thinking is the way to go so if you dont mind answering a few questions that would be great?

i was wondering if you are running the normal boost 5.7 i think or have you tuned the system for more like around 8 or so ive seen around on this site?

it seems nobody can tune these ecus to run the timing and fuel to air ratios correctly so are you having this problem, or if not which ecu are you using to manage the kit?

also if youve had this kit awhile how is the every day driving and how does the car feel ..for example does it feel like the car takes the power just fine or does it feel like its going to self destruct?

one last question it seems like the factory cats are a big issue when boost gets high so what kind of cats do you run ?
