Probably the coolest thing was checking out the vq35de sitting on an engine stand with the turbos hanging on the sides !!! This motor has been fully built with forged internals and is going into a customers g35 coupe!!!
The guys down there are all members here and will be posting their work here when they are finished ..I cant wait!!
Their install prices and equipment pricing is very reasonable I will be doing my TT kit there this winter while the car would be sitting around anyway.

Due to the 5430ft altitude at their location and GUESSing a typical 1.27 SAE correction factor that I've seen from some dynos up there, that's equivalent to someone at sea level with 399whp.
So, if it was SAE corrected(shouldn't use on a FI car ESPECIALLY at altitude~!), what was it?
That's the ONLY way to compare apples-to-apples.

they ran 14 psi and when the 440c injectors gave out at 4600 rpm they measured 544 ft lb tourque and 507 rwhp.
Remember their motor is fully built with forged internals and is capable of running 25 psi but right now they are working on the fuel system as the greddy injectors (440c) are not designed to work with psi over 10 so their motor is running out of fuel at about 500 hp!
Those are INSANE numbers uncorrected.

If you're SC'd you'll see less boost then guys at sea level, but if you're turbo'd, you'll see the same. However, the SAE correction factor will overcompensate like you were a NA that lost 2X%, which isn't valid since the turbos spin faster to make up for the thinner air.
Can't wait to see the limits of a built VQ.

No they were not using a correction factor they were just measuring true rwhp besided when you are running forced injection at altitude there isnt much difference at all to sealevel like when you are N A.

The car has a full roll cage so im assuming they will be trying to break the 11 sec mark up here at Bandimer Speedway so im sure we will get to see some killer time slips from them this summer!!
holy crap those are good numbers, but interesting to see what they actually hit when they can deliver enough fuel past 4600rpm. I stopped by last weekend, but looked like their shop was mroe less closed with just a whole lot of construction going on. We need to find out who this g35'er is, wouldn't mind seeing the car in action once it's done! lol

If you are in boulder and a red g35 blasts by you like you are standing still ....thats the car!!!!!LOL
VERY interesting they said a new plenum was a must for a built block as well as cams with more lift and duration were a must as well!! $$$ both their car and the customer car had the crawford plenum which eliminated the poor factory design which leaves the #5 and #6 cylinders prone to lean conditions and blown motors!
good info to know if you look at a stock intake the front of it is much lower than the back side of it by the intake creating a weird angle and restricting airflow towards the 1 and 2 cylinder the crawford plenum is raised alot higher to wards the front of the engine bay thus creating more even air flow to all cylinders and this is why the strut bar goes away with their plenum.
interesting did nissan design their plenum around the strut brace??? that would seem idiotic..

The only problem I see with the longer duration cams is that they will be hurting idle down low. If I'm not too far off, the higher lift isn't a problem except for seat and valve wear, but duration can get a little rought.

About the return fuel line i didnt ask to much about the new fuel system they were devolping but when i go in to get my crawford plenum installed in a few weeks i will see what kind of progress they have made and post an update if they dont mind.
keep in mind this car looks to me like its built for serious track use it has a full roll cage sparco racing seats guages everywhere the works !!
They will be running the car up at bandimeer speed way which is the local 1/4 race track up here in Colorado (elevation 5280ft) and i cant wait to see some et's and trap speeds!
