Default Greddy RPM adaptor---FYI

The Greddy RPM adaptor only provides enough signal to support one output of the RPM...in this case...to the emanage.

I tried stealing the RPM signal from the Greddy Adaptor brown wire to support my turbo timer...this was a bad idea.

I ended up loosing the RPM signal to the eManage...so the eManage didn't know how much fuel to add. Nothing happened to my car..but just a heads up. I didn't notice the signal was missing from the emanage until I installed the Profec-e01...and noticed the RPM, injector duty cycle, and duration were not displaying....oops. Luckily, with the 440cc injectors, the kit is already running very rich up till 5000rpm even without additional fuel enrichment.

I am going to try a signal booster in the future, so I can use the Greddy RPM adaptor to output to different RPM based devices...such as a turbo timer or other things.

This is good to know. I will be at my tuners this afternoon and I will ask about this. No 'Attack mode' until this is figured out

you put two and you're altering your Emanage's expected voltage out.
that second signal wire you tapped to the brown wire is drawing out more current draw than you should..

I dont think the adaptor is outputting a specific voltage to determine RPM. It is just taking the 6 coil pulses and combining into one RPM pulse signal. So if i install a signal booster, all I am doing is amplifying the existing output signal so the eManage and other devices can utilize it. It is not voltage based....right? It is pulse based.

Got the turbo timer installed Fri. and I warned my tuner about the signal problem. He tapped into the RPM wire for the turbo timer and... no RPM signal to the eManage. It was good that we knew about this in advance otherwise it would have been a wild goose chase trying to hunt down a bad connection.

You would think that GReddy would inform people about this since:

GReddy eManage
GReddy RPM adapter
GReddy Full Auto Timer

Notice a pattern here? If you buy parts from the same company, I expect them to play nice with each other.

I think the RPM adaptor Greddy supplied is very suspect. I am tryin to run down a better device that will trap an RPM signal for me, and be able to power several RPM based devices.
