Walbro 255---revisited---an idea
#41
I'm new in all this and I'm learning slowly, please excuse my ignorance.
How do I know if I need a new fuel pump, a return line and a FPR?
I have a return line, which is disconnected now, with a SX FPR installed, but when the car was getting dyno for the first time, the fuel pressure was dropping big time, the tuner disconnected the return line and he was able to achieve the ideal fuel pressure.
The car was only dynoed at 5.5 psi, if I want to boost it up a little more, 7, max 8, do I need to re-connect my fuel return line?
I have 440cc injectors.
Thanks in advance
I have a 3.5 Altima.

I believe SSR put all three in your car already. You have a return fuel line and FPR for sure, just by looking at your pic, but I don't know about the pump.

In the picture they are connected but the hose going from the fuel rail to the FPR is always been diconnected.
I just took this pic:

With my stock pump and 6 psi, my fuel pressure would drop to unsafe levels with an A/F ratio of 13:1.
With the walbro I run a 11.5:1 to a 12:1 A/F.
So to answer your question, if you are going to run over (or around) 6 psi I would get a walbro.
I sell walbro pumps so pm me if you are interested.
