What a graduation present!
So I'm graduating from med-school today and my wife gives me my graduation presents. First I get some frames and plaques and stuff, and then I get an old box with a paper inside.
And the paper is an invoice for the vortech kit!
I guess I have a pretty good wife!
So what do I need to know before install, and actually, what gauges have you guys gotten? I want to get an A/F and a boost gauge. I want a matching set and I don't want to spend too much. I would just go with the EGT, but I kind of feel like EGT is just an estimation of A/F (and it's cheaper) so why not just pay a little more and get what you want? What do you guys think is the best way to go?

Sinde Wideband A/F Gauges are widely available now, you should get that instead of EGT. I have seen it for $325 from one of the vendor..
Boost gauge is a must imo..so you know how much boost you are running..

And to think all I got for med school graduaton was a crummy Rolex and a fantastic trip to Cedar Point. Better get it installed soon before residency, you may actually get a chance to drive it. What is your specialty and where are you doing it?

Yeah, 700k is ALOT! Some of my friends are going up north for residency and all of them have gotten raped on housing.
I start Anesthesiology at UM/jackson on june 22....So I have about 4weeks to install it.
Where can I find this Sinde A/F gauge, cause yahoo can't find it, and the search function wouldn't work for me either

I'm pretty sure that was supposed to read "single wideband" and there are several to choose from. The AEM wideband O2 is popular around here... I think there's a Greddy as well?!

Yeah, that's what I thought. I really like the AEM, I just wanted to get out without paying $450 for the gauge.
I know you can get one for around 300, I think from tech edge, but when you add on the laptop connector and digital readout, it's up to about $450.
About the AEM, is it self-calibrating? and where have you guys installed the single O2 sensor?
