If I had the money I would do the stroker kit and make the car one mean N/A monster. You could brag that the car is all motor, no boost at all. Of course if you had enough dough you could drop low compression pistons in at the same time and TT it as well making some really insane power.

I suppose sc would be a much safer move. If I’m not mistaken a sc will only make as much boost as the main pulley allows it to rev; as where the tc will make whatever the turbo can pump out. Lets say your car has turbo's that can squeeze out 500 hp (but lets say your car can only handle 400), if the waste gates fail the turbo wont stop till it cant spool anymore, thus the 500hp are reached and your engine will be fried. The point of the matter: tc has more parts, thus more chances for failure. Not only will you boost the chances of failure by going tc, your making your chances even better because of the fact that your driving the car everyday. So yea, I hope u can make up your mind from that.

is there anyone who has done a tt install on an auto Z? I know a lot of 5AT owners have went the SC route, but I've never heard of any with turbos. Anyone out there?

I was send an e_mail to the Greddy company and i told him ( I have 350z 5AT and i would like to fix a TT turbo).

They told me We have tried our Twin Turbo system on an auto, but unfortunately the
factory shift pattern when fully throttled in 1st gear is not very
compatible with the extra power. If you have the transmission modified for
the extra power, it could work well. But I would recommend upgrading the
transmission before installing the turbo kit.

Default 5AT w/Greddy

No problems here so far, may have to upgrade torque converter when we boost up, but do not expect any problems at 5.7 - 6 psi with the transmission. Have been running it for about 1100 miles trying to complete break-in post TT install.

Whoa, so when you go wot in Drive mode it doesn't just hit revlimiter like other people were saying? It actually shifts in drive? Nice..........

Well, we installed everything you see on a car with only 800 miles on the engine. I am still treating the car like the baby she is...so no WOT unless absolutely necessary until I reach 3K miles. The few times I have gone WOT either standing or rolling, no hesitation with shifting, seems quite happy.
