E-01 to eManage connectivity question
I have the E-01 connected to the eManage through the pressure sensor harness and the USB cable. If I disconnect the USB (to run a laptop to the eManage), what functionality would I lose? This would only be for track and dyno time, not daily driving.

you will loose any maps that are pressure based. I still have mine running RPM vs MAF, so this would not be a problem.
And if you are logging A/F via the profec, you would lose that too.
That's it!

I guess my question would have been better as: "What function does the USB cable between the E-01 and eManage enable?"

Oh sorry..I misread your post. If I all you are doing is unpllugging the USB cable that runs from the Profec e-01 hub to the eManage....then you loose nothing...accept the ability to data log A/F...or any extra inputs you have connected to the profec via external signal harness.
based on your setup...you wont lose anything at all.

To to answer your last question, the purpose of the USB cable to communicate in read time with the eManage. It allows you display all the inputs/outputs from the emanage onto your profect, i also allows you to program the eManage. So changes you make on the profec will automatically carry over to the eManage. One exception to this is if you load a new map from Data1-3 (your memeory card). If you load a map, you will have to export to the eManage first....it wont automatically export. Only changes to existing maps and setting will export in real-time.
