Default e/h with vortech

should i go with the nismo exhust and headers with the vortech or go with something else?

also, do you vortech owners think the intercooler is better then the aftercooler system vortech uses on some of the systems? (if they could have fit it in the engine bay)

DC headers look like a good choice [cheaper than the rest] .Exhaust is up to what sounds good to you

the reason vortech used a air to air intercooler and not a air to water was because of space. Air to Water is the better of the two.

as for exhausts, im not sure.....

i have gotten very respectable results with the oem setup, suprisingly........

i will have new numbers to compare after a remap next month......

happy hunting (im still wanting crawford headers, after all else is done)

Be careful when adding headers to FI. You might make it run lean so extra tuning might be required.

i would be tempted to try crawford headers and greddy exhaust. might as well get the crawford plenum or kinetix v3 too.

i plan to remapp once my h/f cats and full exhaust are added anyway (should be less of a job than the original mapping, however)

to get the full benefit of them, its best toi re-dial it in with some dyno and a/f measurements......

costly, yes, but effective in netting positive output gains, IMO

thanks for the info guys! i didn't know that you would run lean with headers. i talk to the guys at performance nissan (great guys, very very helpful) they said the nismo exhaust is great, cause it comes with the y pipe and makes good power also, they said the nismo header are the best. if i do go with headers do i have to buy big injectors or just have to tune the hell out of it? i also like the injen exhaust just cause how it looks. is the injen a good exhaust or should i just go with the nismo?
also is it ok for now to run the vortech kit with the oem exhaust? i know you don't make that much power with the oem exhaust but is it safe?
i get the kit on wenesday, and how long do the install take?
sorry for the long post and all the questions
