You can look at my sig to see what mods I currently have. I am trying to see what kind of costs I would be looking at to go with a Vortech. I looked on here but couldn't find exactly what i was looking for. What other items are necessary for this install in addition to the SC itself? I am not looking to go for 500HP or anything, just something faster to play with. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Also, what does anyone know about www.superchargersonline.com ? I got a quote on their satin Vortech SC at $4647.23 plus $48-50 shipped. What would be a reasonable cost for installation? What is a reasonable cost for tuning? Thanks again.

Really you don't need any additional modifications to the motor. The kit is designed to work on a completely stock motor. You may want to get a cat-back exhaust and replace the test pipes with resonated pipes or hi-flow cats. The Kinetix plenum may be a problem on a FI motor but, I have not seen any proof that it will be. I did my own install that way I knew it was done correctly. Not that an installer couldn't have done it, I just don't trust someone that I do not know working on my cars. My 2¢.

I suppose any shop that does Vortech installs would tell me exactly what I would need, but it's always good to get info first.
TEH215, why would I want to swap the test pipes for something else? Thanks again guys.

wideband O2 measures the Air/fuel ratio with better range and resolution than the factory O2. Factory O2 is meant to measure close to the stoichiometric A/F ratio which is 14.7. Since FI uses A/F's of 12 or so, you need a wideband.

I also want to know why we should get rid of the test pipes from my understanding the test pipes cause the vortech to run a little leaner but if it comes from them tuned really rich it should be ok I would think.
