i'm going to put the vortech in when i get to 3000 mile (at1600). when i put in the new oil should i go with synthetic or castrol gtx. which oil is better for the s/c?

 

Either one will be good for the supercharger. I have put Mobil 1 synthetic in my Mustang since the first oil change.

 

Was using Mobil 1 before Vortech SC install and I continue to use Mobil 1.

used their superbike oil in my gixx also........

excellent stuff (both are, really!!)

just remember to keep ontop of changes (even though its syn, you still wanna keep it fresh!!)

 

Speaking of synth, are they really like $30 per oil change ?

I had to go buy 6 quarters in 1-quart increments at like $5 a piece recently at Pepboys to give to my mechanic, heh...

Can you get these damn things cheaper ?

 

when did you guys swich over to synthetic (your first oil change)? and do you guys use the nissan oem oil fliter or is the mobil 1 oil fliter better? my friend buys the mobil 1 fliter but he said he pays like 11 dollars for the fliter and thats for his integra (would it be more for are cars). thank for the feed back, i think i'm going to go with the mobil 1 synthetic, looks like most of you like it.

Costco sells Mobil 1 oil by the case. $23.99 4 six quarts.
Sams is about the same price. Hope that helps
