Default What is the cost and Where can I find the ATI Tuner kit?

Let me just start by saying that I have wanted the Vortech kit from the beginning. But the more I see about low boost and max impeller speeds being reached the more I want the ATI kit. Of course we all know the ATI kit has very subpar engine management. So I was wondering if anyone knew the cost of the ATI Tuner Kit for the Z and where I might be able to get it. Also I was thinking of using either the SS box if I can get it seperately or the Greddy Emanage to control fuel/ignition. Any suggestions on which one would work and which one would work better. I think because the Vortech kit uses the SS box it would be easier to tune and setup than the E-Manage. Thanks in advance for your replies.

Go with the same set up as Mike (and myself) and several others. Much safer and the upgrade potential is far greater than the full vortech kit.
I bought mine through superchargersonline.com. Make sure and go with the polished kit as you will be grateful you did.

BTW I've been reading a lot more of the ATI threads now that I have decided on my course of action. Quick question. Does the ATI kit vent to atmosphere as well or is it a recirc valve? Thanks

The valve supplied w/the kit vents back to the compressor intake. Some people have used the turbo XS BOV I believe which vents to atmosphere with some mild mods to the old hole that the vent went to on the intake tube.

Noice. I believe thats what I will do. Worst comes to worse i guess I could have a different style flange welded on there to fit a different BOV. I always liked that about the Vortech kit. Venting to atmosphere. Pretty much I guess I just want the Vortech kit with an ATI blower. Know what I mean?

Hey thanks for all you guys' help so far. One other question. I know that the Technosquare flash and PE injenctors are a good management set up but I have also read the praises of the Split Second Box and R4 software. Any reason why I couldn't just order fuel system, FMU, and SplitSecond Box from Vortech and use it with the ATI tuner kit. Would I still NEED the PE injectors for the stock boost or is it only necessary if I raise the boost? Thanks again.

PM'ed you back. I think I answered all of your questions...

A lot of Vortech guys are going with the PE injectors and Technosquare ECU flash. There is no reason for the SS box with this set up. This is why vortech is now offering a tuner kit...

I figure its probably a better solution to use the reflash but what about adjustability. Lets say I want to up the boost 6 months after I get my ECU flashed. I would need to get the ECU reflashed right? That was the only reason I asked about the SS box cause with a laptop I could later just have my car re-tuned for my power. Am I way off here?

No your not way off but in most cases it is not necessary for you to reflash. When I went from 7PSI to 10PSI I did not need a reflash. What I did need to to add was a new fuel pump and fuel regulator.

How did you address timing and injector duty cycle without getting a reflash. Not even coming close to questioning your logic just trying to learn the intracies of this motor. i come from the 4 cylinder world so excuse my ignorance. The first car that I really had to address ECU tuning on was the Spec V.

I went with the flash set up when I was at 7PSI. Then I added the 9lbs pullys and felt I needed to add fuel. So I added a new pump and a regulator. With the regulator I was able to control the fuel. Currently at 7200rpm my car does't go over 12.7 AF which is slightly higher than I want but I have enough timing taken out that it doesn't matter.

To get my AF lower I would need to reflash...Which I plan on doing after installing a few more goodies My car will be going back to Crawford for a couple more upgrades very soon.

12.7 a/f is very high.... im at less than 12, with 11.25 coming in up high....

am i running too rich, (too safe?) or should i keep it this way (due to FL heat and hum.)??

I think Whosdady is hitting 12.7 at 7100 rpms which is normal for nearing the rev limit. His car is probably at at 12.0 A/F or so from 3000-6600rpms. TS just moves the rev limter up to 7200rpms so you can still start to run lean after 6600rpms. I think TS inteneded for people to be able to shift at 6600 without bouncing off the limiter and not drive up to 7100rpms? 11.25 is not that rich but is slightly. I wouldn't mess with it since that should be a pretty safe tune and I don't know your timing situation.
