Got the TT bug? I think I do :P
Well, my friend just got a 2004 EVO ( I told him to wait for the MR, but he couldn't). Anyways, I havn't driven it yet because I am waiting till after he breaks it in, but I love the sound of the air coming in. His EVO makes my Z feel like a slug =/ Anyways, I think I would like to put a TT on my Z. Since I live in central NY state, I have to put it up for the winter. So maybe it will be a winter project if I can get the money. Do you guys think maybe prices might go down by then? What kit would you all recommend? APS isn't out yet, i've heard of problems with the greddy, i havn't heard a ton on the PE. Turbonetics will be coming out with a single turbo... Is there anything new on the horizon?

You just clicked off all the choices, except for the JWT..which might be a while for the 350Z application.
All the kits have their pluses and minus, and it depends on your personal desire to tune and tweak, and what type of WHP you have in mind.
If I could start all over, and given these choices, I'd likely choose the APS (if they offered a tuner kit, sans piggyback). Second choice would still be the Greddy, with a few other mods. Third choice would be the PE, since I eventually intend to go forged, and up the boost to the 20psi plus range, where the PE turbos will be less efficient than the Greddy's.
The WildCard is the turbonetics, which looks very promising, but only limited info is out on the kit...time will have to tell. My biggest concern would be the heat issues from running all of that tubular stell piping across the front of the engine bay..close to the wires, belts, etc. I'd also like to understand if there is more or less turbo lag than the TT's.

APS will be out in 2 months i believe if you do the reasearch you will see it is the most complete kit out there for the 350z!!!
The turbonetics kit doesnt make any sense to me whatsoever.
The only reason i could see to run a single turbo on a stock motor would be price. If it was alot cheaper than other kits than that would make sense however if it isnt i cant see why a single turbo would be better than a set of twin snails.

it really depends on the flow characteristics of the single they chose. remember its a mid size bb turbo so i dont think lag is much of an issue. i think the greddy twins have more potential but expect their turbonetics kit to be selling close to what a sc costs

Well the other reason would be on a built motor that required a giant single turbo to produce the cfm that would be required but that is hardly what turbonetics is trying to do.

yup...single turbo would be better for an ultra high HP application. But since my goal is 600whp, I prefer the Greddy...or and APS tuner kit....I hope they end up offering one. I can imagine running the APS kit with my eManage.

Well guys, If i do decide to go the turbo route, I would also like to take the extra steps to make the engine stronger. I want a fast car, but a bulletproof engine. I'd say the most hp i'd really want is 500whp.
The real issue I suppose it to either do what I mentioned above, or buy a newer, faster car...(pre500whp Z of course, obviously because not much is gonna beat a 500whp Z.)
btw gq, I never noticed that Ducati in your sig! Got pics?
