Split Second calibration (could be off)
I just connected to my split second box for the first time and view the live action. My RPM reading about 500hp more on the computer than on the tach. I can live with that for now, but the boost was showing 1.9-2.1 at IDLE! This however is not cool. I'm assuming that the program uses those values to adjust fuel and timing. I now have no idea what my program is doing since I haven't driven around to see what the values range to. Can anyone verify these findings please??? Let me know if you need help with making a cable to connect or the software.
Have you adjusted the BOV ? Or maybe...where esemes had the BOV set may not be the right for your car .I guess the easy thing to do would make sure its venting at idle . As for the rpm's I dont know what to suggest .I would call Split Second . They are very helpful

gspot35, changing the readout to vacuum/pressue does not actually change the map--it's a user preference you have to set the first time you run the software.
Also, it's NORMAL for the active RPM cell in the R4 software to be higher than the actual RPMs because the SS box rounds up. In other words, if you are tooling along at 2510 rpm the active row is the set of 3000 rpm cells.
