Air Flow is read by MAF
Engine expects so much air. Fuel load is set.
Blow off valve, opens reducing amount of air..
Engine goes to limp mode.
Put BOV at output of FMIC. Before MAF.

good call... if there was no vacuum line on the BOV valve it would be pushed open by the boost causing the car to loose metered air and run rich under boost.
Check on that! And if there is one, make sure its on the top port (in the purple) and not the bottom one.

There is a black hose that connects to the top part of the BOV. Is it because of the BOV placement thats why I am running too rich? Or is the BOV not adjusted properly? Im going to have to buy an E-01 so it can be tuned right. What do I need with the E-01?
If the BOV even leaks a tiny bit, you'r car will run rich. Ideally, it's best to place the BOV before the MAF sensor, so that any minor leaks will leave your A/F unaffected, since it's leaking pre-MAF.
Before you go and buy the Profec, you should call a good tuning shop and discuss your goals with them. They might be able to tune via laptop/Greddy Support tool, and help you with all your issues.

Tech Tip - New Eo-1's have a logic flaw.. It may ask an initial question - Update E-MAnage - answer NO
A new EO-1 is blank.. Answering yes ( default ) will wipe out the Bios in the E-Manage and Zero all Maps..
Get Both Greddy Support tool and Cable for laptop.. ( Serial to USB ) Backup Bios 1.39 and maps before installing an EO-1
Happy Motoring

Cheers Amy

Space for BOV down before MAF..
A picture below called OPPS I Screwed UP... Name the Problem

Correct in GQ's

That is for the radiator fluid.
As for the BOV I put mine like in the pic above on the tub going up to the MAF from the IC, that way the air is not different after the MAF has already measured it.

So you guys are saying that my BOV placement is not the best place to put it? Should I relocate it?

Hey guys, I just found out that the shop that I had my Greddy TT put in, didnt tune the car. They didnt have the Greddy E-manage support tool or the E-01 so I couldnt get the car tuned right, thats why my HP gains are low and my AF readings are really rich. I guess Greddy is sending the new TT kits very rich. Now I am looking for a new shop to tune my car. I called this tuner shop in my town and they quoted me 600+ to tune it with and without the E-01. I said that is crazy! How long does it usually take to tune the car just right? I am also looking around now for a tuning shop to tune my TT. And I guess I really need to get the E-01 now since all the shops I called here in Northern Cali cant tune it without the E-01 which sucks. What should I do next?
cquence 350, who did you take your car to in Sacto? I don't really know of anyone who works on a lot of Z's in this area. I have been to MD, but they seem arrogant unless you buy their stuff. I REALLY like the people at Gruppe-S and they know their stuff. I would recommend giving them a call. Just about 1 1/2 hours away in the bay.

I got it installed at Midnight Performance in Sac. they are good with turbos but they cant really tune the car cause they dont have the Greddy support tool. If you want their number I can give it to you.
