Default HELP: Ultimate Racing TT DONE

Hi all we are done with the hardware and here comes the e-manage. I'm having a problem with the MAF. I have the check engine light, slip and TCS or VDC and way after testing in turn out that MAF is not getting as required voltage.

E-manage wiring is good, all pin numbers are right when I opened the Airflow map it had no input all zeros. Should that be that way?

Could some one please send my a way how to, or if you would please send me an e-manage map to root@the-top.com or aalzuhair@aol.com

I’m running 7psi.

Thanks all,

Az

And by the way, we also tested two MAF sensors so the MAF itself is ok.

might be a dumb idea...but make sure the MAF housing is facing the correct direction. There should be an arrrow on it to tell you which way the air should be flowing. Tony accidently put his in backwards, and he had all the simptoms you just described. Check it out!

GQ, on the Airflow map do you have any inputs or is it just blank (zeros all over)?

Thanks,

Az

PS: the first thing I checked was the direction of the MAF

Did you perhaps install an E0-1 - ?

THe EO-1 has a logic flaw.. A new unload E0-1 asks "Update E-Manage" - the answer is NO

You will wipe out the E-Manage Bios and MAPS..

The E-Manage will blink Red - Green alternating...

At that point you will need to Reload E-Manage - with LapTop and Serial to USB Cable...

------------ P.S. GQ (Sharif ) was guy that bailed us out after Wiping out the E-Manage with an "Empty" new EO-1.. -----------

Cheers

Thank you all for your help

The Z is working fine with no warning light. I updated the firmware to v1.39 and that solved everything.

Az

PS: I will update the other thread with pics and videos as soon as I clean the car and get a good MAP

Ok ladies and gentlemen, here is the bad news

As you can see from my previous post the car is working with no warning lights. However, it’s also working with no power Man I think it was more powerful stock.

I can here the turbos working, I can here the wastegates working, but no power. Let me put it this way "A lot of noise but no gain"

What could be the problem? Please any one

I have been waiting for this day for so long (More than 7 months) and then this Today is a very sad day for me....

There has to be something wrong!!

[I'm thinking out loud]

If something is blocking the air going into the engine, does the engine make any specific noise? Why I ask is maybe, just maybe the guys at Nissan forgot a peace of cloth inside the intercooler, piping or the throttle body, because they had put some in during installation to stop anything from dropping inside.

Could it be something else? Could it be related to the e-manage map?

I don't know if someone has any ideas for me to check on please let me know. I'm so disappointed that I want to go and sleep so I don't think about it.

Az

I will go and check the intake pipes and see if thier is somthing blocking it, and I will keep you posted, but please if you have any idea please post it

Sounds to me like a charge pressure leak. Try and put the car on a dyno, it can make it easier to find the problem and once you get it fixed and your boosting it should be on there anyway to make sure its got a tune in it.

Do you have a boost gauge? Is it making any boost?

No I don't but I'm getting the e-01 with the pressure hook up. Could it be the e-manage map in some strange way?

Thanks,

Az

I just thought of something. Now, if I do have an air leak would the wastegates open?

Thanks,
Az

since you do not have a boost controller right now, any pressure at all, even 1 psi, will cause them to start opening. so even if you had a really bad leak, yes they could open.
