In learning the R4 software, I was creating a customer and reading my settings into the maps. I was really only looking at fuel and when it read the info in, it was putting all of my timing retard starting at 8psi. This was happening because of the system settings not being correct. Anyway, I was doing this at the track, and it took a while for me to figure out what was wrong. The car would take off to the 60' mark and just bog down as soon as the car began to build boost, I'd say around 4500 rpms in 1st gear. I believe the stock knock sensors were sending the car into limp mode. I've since gotten much more familiar with the R4 software, and this never happened again. It's nice to know that the car is still looking out for what's best for it as far as detonation.

Please explain this in more detail. You're saying that lack of timing retard was causing the car to go into limp mode? At what RPMs and under what conditions?

Thanks for the explanation, gspot35. At first I thought it sounded like you have not set the AUX pump to come on when you uploaded the maps for the first time after creating your customer file.
I turned the boost back down to 6psi and did several white knuckle runs. No limp mode.
