It is an air/fuel controller. Search "S-AFCII" and you'll have some reading material.

personally i prefer Crawford, because i know it will last...

Kinetix has great customer service and they immediately replace your plenum if it cracks, but that's the problem, too many of them crack!
kinetix was a great plenum for the Z guys who wanted to keep the stock strut bar, and not have to pay extra for a crawford strutbar that clears the new plenum... but,

Version 1 came out, good performance, and people got to keep their stock strut bar, but the plenums were cracking... but Kinetix has great customer service and immediately replaced them

Version 2, same plenum, but improved, but they were still cracking, but immediately replaced

Version 3, same story, still cracked and was replaced

now there's a, Version 4 and i believe i've read that some have failed, but it's a much improved product, and much stronger, but some Z owners are having issues getting the stock strut to fit...

Crawford also has had different versions, but not because they failed or anything, but the only thing that's changed are the looks, they started out look very raw and "ugly"... they eventually started becoming smoother and cleaner looking in the engine bay... they all perform the same, and are just as reliable!

Greddy's E-Manage is basically another Air/Fuel Computer (controller) as mentioned above. Allows the user to fine tune the air to fuel ratio on the car.

Go here and read up on the TS ECU upgrade:

http://www.technosquareinc.com/technosquareecu.htm

If you're bone stock, the TS ECU upgrade would most likely not gain you anything.

OK, i read some threads about the SAFC/e-manage.

If I have the Technosquare ECU, then it is pointless to have an SAFC correct?

hehe i didnt want to do anything "intensive" like messing with the ECU, etc

just a few bolt on's and which have the best bang for the buck,
the plenum thing sounds good, and whatever is restrictive on the exhaust...

if you get a highflow cat do uneed to do something to keep the ecu happy and the maintenence light off?

i was asking more about what is restrictive on the car, rather than actually UP'ing the hp which turbo does...
i want to free up some hp for a little more "pep" not to go crazy haha

plenum, exhaust, cats or test pipes, headers can all be used with FI. There are also exhaust now that are 3". You dont need a custom exhuast with FI. The only thing that you can't use with FI is the intake or CAI cause they get replaced by a different intake unit with each FI unit. Reflashing the ECU or getting SAFC and other electronics aren't necessary but can be helpful.

If you already have the TS ECU upgrade, it's not necessary to have the A/F computer also. The only drawback I see with the TS ECU is that if you decide to go FI later down the line, then you would have to get the ECU reflashed again.

I don't believe installing high flow cats would cause the maintenance light to stay on but try doing a search to see if anyone else has experienced that.
