Default misc pics (projectors, plenum, brakes, etc) not 56k friendly

Since I'm nearly done with external mods on the car, I figured that I post some pics. People from g35driver will have seen these pics already.

X5 projectors and cleared out amber.

Crawford V5 plenum that I polished myself. Still not as shiny as I want though...

OEM brembos, stoptech 2 piece rotors (purchased from Avalon Racing, great service and communication), and Stoptech SS lines. The calipers are painted, and the logo is painted on as well.

Wheel mounted, ready to go. Car's a 5AT, and the stock brakes are for sale (really cheap).

Too bad it's so cloudy these days in Socal, but at least it's not snowing (hate driving in the snow). The front brakes are red brembos that I bought off ebay, and the rotors are just plain 1 piece ones.

Thanks for the compliments. I did the projectors myself, back in Sept 2003. It's not an easy projector retrofit, I prob should have gone with a smaller projector. Space is very tight in the G35 headlight.

when you say smaller you mean one from like a S2000? What cars have smaller projectors? S4? TT?

Lucino, I'm not sure if S2000 is smaller, but a shorter projector would make things easier. I know that the X5 is one of the larger projectors out there. Audi S4/A4 is a small projector.

AzNphat, I got the projectors off ebay.

04G_car, my front rotors are just generic 1 piece rotors, I wouldn't bother with those. I got the rear 2 piece rotors at Avalon Racing. PM them for their price. Stoptech makes direct replacement rotors for both front and rear.

skyl1ne, I had some great night shot pics, but when my HDD crashed, I lost quite a bit. Here's an old pic that dug up. It was comparing 4100K D2s on the left with 7500K d2s on the right. I've since switched to 4100K all around for increased lumens.

damn thats a sharp cutoff

almost s2k territory

great retrofit!

Z and G should have came with HID projectors from the factory instead of the projector/reflector and reflector housings
