Default Christmas Gift Installed! RE Short Shifter!

The weather finally broke and I was finally able to my get my new Rogue Engineering short shifter installed. A very thoughtful gift from my wife, I might add.

I was a little nervous it would dramatically increase shifting effort and increase vibration in the shifter. Well, that is not the case, the shifting is definitely shorter and quicker with a very slight increase in effort. I believe it actually decreased the much complained stock vibration in the ****. The shifting just feels more precise.

I'm very happy with this mod and recommend it highly.

Cool.......

Let us know how it is in a month or so. I was thinking about a short shifter, but wanted to see how it holds up down the line (say a couple of months).

I'm sure it will hold up very well. It's very well engineered.

I've had my RE shifter in for about a month and a half now and it still works great. Much shorter throw, makes a big difference. no real vibration increase that I have noticed and the only shift that seems harder to me is the 3rd to 2nd. My only recommendation is that if you are buying the shifter, spend the extra $10 and get a new shifter cup, It'll make your life a lot easier. I got mine through group buy for $189 shipped.

I installed mine when it finally hit 0 degrees C up here in the great white north EH!Goes in very easily as long as you have ramps to get under the car. Dealer would probably charge you for an hour labour.
