Default Concerning change in 18s stock rim color

Anyone have problem with their front wheels' color change? My rear ones look just like new after car wash but my front ones just look kinda like gun metal somehow .. Way darker than rear one after car wash.. Is this because of brake dust anyway to fix?? I had my car for 6 months now.

I'd vote for the brake dust staining the wheels, but you'd have had to left the wheels really dirty for an extended period of time.

You could try brake cleaner, but if it doesn't work very quickly, you need to wash down the wheels fast. Brake cleaner is some nasty stuff, but that's why it works so well.

That's a big NO!! Brake cleaner will take off the clear coat and paint on the wheels immediately. My friend had some brake cleaners on his Stoptech brakes and it took the paint right off. Stoptech brake calipers already is painted with high heat resistant paint, think of what it will do to your rims.

No offense GZire, but don't be giving advise like that.

They're probably just wet spots, the reason its changing colors is because after washing your rims your not drying them quick enough.

bz8 didn't know the brake cleaner would kill paint that quickly.

My bad bombrush, sorry.
