Can a stock (zero mods) G35 6MT beat a BMW 330ci?

Luckily for me, it's a track race. We'll be comparing time slips and the fastest slip of the night wins, so I'll get lots of runs in and hopefully get a good run.

Guys, lets not forget that couple of magazines (Car&Driver, Road&Track) did 5.9's from 0-60 for the Stick ones. The 330 with performance package can do 5.6's and 14's. I would say a driver race before 60 for the stick ones. But you will beat the auto for sure.

BMW 330ci
The performance package got Extra 10HP+10TQ. The race will be closer than you think. If you can drive well, then you will probably beat him by 1-2 car length. If not, it will be close. Either way, goodluck.
It will be a close race. The 6MT gives you the benefit of a better launch. Over 80 and you will take him no problem, but lets hope the race is over shortly afterwards. Especially if its a friend.
Ok, then. I've only raced one ZHP when I was stock and it was close, but I took him up high. I don't think I would have a problem at all now. BMWs automatics aren't like the G35s. Remember that and you will win.
I think you guys are underestimating the power of the ultimate driving machine.
I say launch at 3k with VDC off, shift near redline. Good luck. I have no doubt you'll wing, but he won't be far behind. Let us know the outcome.
