Default Aftermarket Radiator overflow tank

I have an aftermarket radiator overflow tank that I was going to put in my 300zx but after trading it in for the G35 I am now thinking about putting it in
the G
My question is is this a closed system, so that all I would need to do is make sure that the overflow tube attaches to the bottom of the new tank. and that there are no air leaks into the tank?
does this sound right.

thanks for any help

Tony

Well although I would say its a closed system its hard to believe so with the giant vent hole at the top rear of the stock overflow bottle. although that bottle should never be empty and the drain/suction hose is at the bottom so in theory it should always have coolant and maintain the integrity of the closed system
