Default G35 Front Strutt Tower brace !

I have finally finished having the jigs made for this G35 front mount strut tower brace. It is made of aircraft grade 4130 chromeoly and it is powder coated. It is strong and relatively light. They seem to fit on most after market CAI as well as the stock intake box. This strut bar mounts to the actual suspension (instead of the sheet metal) for the best rigidity and support possible for increased handling. I am going to produce these for sale, available through me or VRT. They bolt on with the existing holes and use the provided hardware. The install is not too complicated, with the only hard part being the replacing of the (longer) front upper control arm bolt.

If interested in one, e-mail me at wa2good@hotmail.com

Check out the pics...... (excuse the dirty under hood shots)

Here is the finished and installed STB. It fits great and leaves access to the oil fill cap and dipstick no problem. Here is some pics of the STB on Eagle 1's (a VRT customer) car that we put on today...........

Thanks.

Unfortunately, it wouldn't make sense to produce these STB's for less than $400. (4130 chromoly and powder coating and hardware add up) Price might go up later, just trying to get it out there.
$400 will be the starting price for it powder coated (gloss black will be the standard color) and with all necessary hardware and instructions. I can do other colors (and chrome) for a "reasonable" additional price.

If interested, email me at wa2good@hotmail.com

Thanks.

Pardon the dumb question, but will it fit 2003 G35 coupes and sedans? Rather than chrome finishing, can you do polished with a clear powder coat?

Thank you.

Sory for the delay in my replies, I have been SOOOO busy.

Thanks for the complaments and questions.
As far as the fitting on a TN ST kit or a sedan, I am not sure yet I need to check it out. I tried for a while to make it fit over the stock plastic flimsey engine cover and there is just not a way to make it fit.

As far as polishing, it is made of 4130 aircraft grade chromoly, you can not polish it. I can powder coat it a different color (other than the standard black), or chrome it for the additional cost and a little longer waiting time (for the chrome shop)

Thanks

Thanks John,
The Z has a whole mess of companies that make a version of the front strut tower brace (cause a Z one is easy to make) I can make you a custom Z one if you realy want, no real chalenge there. The G one was quite a chore.

I want something original, not that these other companies are putting out.

I have put several miles on this STB now. I felt the difference right out of the driveway. The chassis flex is MUCH better, I knew it was an issue with the G's, but I never knew just how much of an issue until now. This car was needing a STB bad, IMO. Having this brace installed lets the suspension do the work it was designed to do without all the chassis flex getting in the way. If you have a upgraded suspension it really lets you utilize it much more. Turn in is much more sure footed and accurate with this brace. I had a strong feeling that these cars needed a strut tower brace, I just never knew just how bad.

Track testing and impressions are next (Friday) stay tuned.....................

will you be able to make a big group buy for these things to possibly bring down the price??? I bet alot of people in G35driver.com would be very interested in a group buy if the price were right.

the price would have to be way lower than $400 ...i understand that these things are among the first, but $400 for a front strut tower bar....thats going to be hard for anyone to swallow....i'm not trying to get in an argument by anym means because God knows i couldn't fab up one of these, but how do you justify $400....please understand that i am not trying to be a trouble maker just want information...thank you

It's about time someone came out with one. GREAT work! Looks like it may not fit S/C'd cars (Vortech & ATI). Can you confirm?
