All things considered, he got off easy as ****. I agree though, he should've kept on going...

Can you even read one at 220mph? I'm guessing the cop was going 65-70 in the other direction.

I always advocate stopping for the law, once a pursuit begins and you don't stop an entire world of crap is opened up on your, up to and including being shot.

That being said, Your friend was already in Felony Land, At 1am in the dark at 147mph and rising he should have gunned it, found a place to duck off and took it as a lesson learned.

For what it's worth I'd bet the police officer did not tag him and could not have shot him with a radar (maybe lazer), especially since your friend's detector didn't go off.

I'll say this though, he has character and could have made it much worse if he ran.

Maybe that's why he got off so easy, because the officer realised he could've ran and didn't...

He didn't know it was a police officer until he hit the lights. He didn't see him do a u-turn. Imagine 147mph passing a car and the cop was probably doing 75+!

a friend of a friend.... got away only doing 90 in that same situation. and "he" even looked the cops in the face as "he" drove by. cops turn around quick, but its almost impossible to ID and catch a car doing that. that cruiser would have to be at least twice as fast, literally.

granted, i got a ticket doing 104 in a 45 and got it down to $125 fine only. and i stop whenever the odds are heavily in the law's favor as anyone should.

He had to have slowed down, continue doing ~150 for about an exit or two (depending on how close the exits are, the 2nd might be the better choice). C'mon, he's doing ~2.5 miles a minute, don't slow down next time.
lol hahaha... bad bad bad influence dude... how the hell did u manage to pull 13.6 stock? what kinda tires? and where in jersey

I was pulled over doing 145mph run. Cop came from behind, he was a unmarked car. He didnt catch me until i slowed down, just cause traffic was coming up. He came from nowhere. He said he had been chasing me and he eventually knew id slow down, so thats how he got me. Was really impressed with how he couldnt catch me and said no matter how fast he went i kept pulling away out of sight. Funny thing is i wasnt really even trying to leave him. i never knew he was there.. He just gave me a warning and looked over the Z and said nice car man.... Thank god for G/Z loving cops...
