--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

HEY EVERY ONE I HAVE A 2004 G35 WITH THE MANUAL
i hurd some wher that if im raceing or just driveing hard to turn off the vdc because it actualy stops fuel, is this true? i have a sc so i have good pawer but if im in high rpms and the fuel cut come on i will be f&^ked.
so is it ok to leave on or do i need to turn of cause i may blow somthing???

have no idea bro, but i have an 06 350z track with vdc and would like to know the same. i would probably look at the owners manuel tho.

I don't believe VDC cuts fuel. It basically applies the brakes where needed.

^^^ You describe it well.

The point I tried to (poorly) make was that I don't think fuel is actually being cut off like the OP was asking about. It's not like redlining. I think VDC just affects power delivery. But maybe that does involved fuel being cut? I dunno.

By backing off the throttle. Remember, its drive by wire. Throttle is actually remotely controlled by the ECU.

It does NOT cut fuel. Shutting off the engine would hardly contribute to vehicle stability.

VDC cuts power when it detects a "slippage". thats why you should turn it off ...and drift that bi@tch

Slippage is only one condition that it responds to. It also corrects oversteer and understeer.

"Vehicle Dynamic Control* is an advanced system designed to help you stay on your steered path. If your vehicle begins to oversteer (fishtail) or understeer (plow forward), VDC can reduce engine output and/or apply appropriate brake pressure to specific wheels."
