Default Help: Bose Amp and Subs Install?

I was wondering if I need a special rca convertor in order to install a 2 channel amp and 2 10'in subs to my Bose system in my 06g35 coupe? A shop told me I could not use a regular rca convertor, because the Bose system will blow? Is this true?

I had an rcs convertor in my mustang with the Mach460 stereo in it, similar to the bose, and it did just fine.

It still sounds like complete crap compared to swapping in a new head unit and using the preouts, but it is just a bandaid until you get the money for a full system. Personally, i think the bose in my Z sounds like crap and i am about to re-do the whole thing. Good luck.

I am about to install some subs in my Z, I just plan on using my high level input already built into my amp and tap into my two rear speakers. I don't see any reason why that would not work as well. GL with you setup, I have the Bose too BTW.

Depending on your amp, you won't need an LOC if you tap into the signal before it gets to the Bose amp, which would be preferred. The Bose amp adds certain characteristics that you may not like when using a good amp. The Bose amp blows.
