2007 G35 #'s
Motor Trend did a comparison between the 2007 G35 sedan and the 330i BMW... I don't really care about the comparison but was interested in the performance #'s the G35 put up
0-60 = 5.4
1/4 = 14.0
Makes you wonder what this new engine will do in a 350z... I bet it will be close to the STI/EVO's performance #'s

Weird... I saw 5.2 in another review.
Remember, the 07 sedan is using the VQ35HR (3.5 litters).
But the 2008 G35 coupe and 350z are rumoured to get a 3.7 Litter engine producing around 320-330 HP.
The sedan will never put up numbers like the coupe does
The 2006 350z MT 0-60 #'s are usually around 5.4-5.6

Wow wait a minute.
The G35 SEDAN didnt hit 60 until a bit over 6 seconds
This means the new sedan will be almost 1 second faster...thats pretty amazing considering its a sedan.
Imagine if the G coupe/ Z hit 60 in 1 full less second?

The 6MT sedan was able to hit 60 in 5.8, the Automatic was like 6 seconds.. I'm just guessing but I bet the 350z with this engine could hit 60 in 5 seconds flat maybe even 4.9.... would put it in EVO/STI territory
Somone scaned the article, soon as I find it again ill post the link to it..
Here it is..

Keep in mind to that the tests were done with a brand new car only 200 miles on it, where as the BMW had almost 3000 miles.. Wait until the engine has broken in and it should be a tick faster

The original 240Z was later bumped in displacement to 2.6L for the 260Z and then to the 2.8L for the 280Z; they just kept changing the name to match the motor. If they don't change the name to 370Z, then they'll instantly break the connection with the 350Z, 3.5L issue.
