What advantages does the G have over the Z?
I have a feeling Im going to get flamed here. I was looking for a FAQ or a Sticky. What advantages engine and transmission wise, does the G have over the Z? (03-05)
Is the manual transmission the same? Are the pistons, seals, rods, cams, etc. the same?
Thanks

placebo effect. That's what.
That being said I agree with the aforementioned: Baller status, LED taillights, Sexy as all hell compared to the Z (when done correctly), service kicks *** (red carpet treatment here in Denver anyway), and loaner cars for 4 years/50k miles.

Around here it's definately noticeable.. the Z as the performance/race oriented sports 2 seater and the G as pimp/baller luxury sport coupe.
As my friend Mike (leemik on the z boards) quoted.. "My Z only gets Guys' attention!"
Like an Acura to a Honda - Lexus to a Toyota.. in some ways... Not saying it's a bad thing.. just some people have different tastes. I was actually looking at the Z before the G. But the G just had that mature professional look to me.

the g has a more luxurious interior. leather, aluminum trim, longer wheel base, and a back seat. under the skin they are basically the same. the g more luxury oriented. the z is more performance oriented. depends on what you want. the z will have more options in terms of aftermarket mods and relatively cheaper mods. the g is more expensive to maintain. service at the dealer is great, but you pay a premium for it.
