Not really.

Car and Driver rates the 07 G35 Sedan MT @ 5.2 second, 13.8 1/4 mile.

Motortrend is a little more conservative in their numbers... Forgot what they rated the G sedan at.

so that means that the G35S 0-60 is 5.2 and the normal one is like 5.4 and the AWD one is 5.6???

If its all true, i might plan on getting one really soon.

I believe they do. But we are only taking about the 4 door G's still. I have no idea when the coupe is supposed to be here.

0-60 Is A Horrible Way To Judge The Overall Performance Of A Car. Only Magazine Humpin Newbs Use This Retarded Stat To Judge The Overall Acceration Of A Car. Gg!

So the new 07 Z will most likely do 0-60 in 5 secs flat(or lower) and quarter in 13.5 sec or lower. That's if my magazine racer math is correct Throw some Drs and light bolt ons on the new Z and it's an easy 12 sec car. Nice.

What makes you assume that the Z will always be faster than a G Sedan?

We will find out when it gets here.

I wouldnt be surpriced to see the Next Z to be faster than the Next [07] G Sedan... but im pretty sure the Next G35 coupe will be completely the same performance wise.

Why? Because the next G35 coupe has some serious competitors now, such as the new 335i, which by the way is a BEAST performance-wise.

I actually wouldnt be surpriced if they release a G35 coupe that will be faster than the Next standard Z/G.

Also, good look making a mid-to-high 13 second car with Bolt-Ons only... unless you wanna spend more on Bolt-Ons itself than a Super Charger/ Turbo Charger

It may also respond worse to mods than the current VQ. That's often the case when the manufacturer bumps up the power.

I agree, most cars feel the same in 1st and 2nd. The difference is when a car hits 3rd gear. If manufactures focused on 0-60 we would have cars that took off fast but go slow.

It's just A way. Nothing horrible about it (except your opinion, that is). 0-60 stats have been published for every car, so it provides a frame of reference.

And calling prior posters "Magazine Humpin Newbs" doesn't really do much for your credibility if you feel you have something worthwhile to convey

Either way im still correct. You should ask all of the people you listed how much money they spent on making their Bolt-On cars as fast as a superchaged 350z; much more than a supercharger itself.

Apparently you dont realize how expensive a supercharger is for the Z as apposed to a set of TPs, a pop charger, maybe a plenum spacer and a set of dr's or slicks. These obviously dont have to be the N/A mods used, just saying hypothetically.

Complete supercharger setup is easily $3k+!
N/A mods and some slicks is only about $1500 if you shop wisely and that should easily see 12's with good driving.

Superchargers with install prices and tune may run up to 7,000 or so dollars. On the other hand, I've spent 8,000 dollars on my set-up and I only got 265 RWHP. With a supercharger ... you're looking at around 320 + hp for the same price. Looks like I chose the wrong route ....

Vortech SuperCharger with Labor & Tune = ~ 6500

Stillen Stage 2/3 with Labor = ~6500.

Trust me, I know ALOT about G35's and 350z's.

So far, I have never seen someone with a 350z or G35 get into the 12's with the bolt-ons you stated. Ill believe it when I see proof.

Anyhow, im pretty sure we both can agree with this, there isnt a better bang for the buck (horsepower/Dollar ratio) than going FI.

Please re-read post #14. There are Bolt on Zs running 12's with Exhaust,TP, Plenum Spacer, DRs/Slicks, Headers. Buying these items used would be under $2,000 I'm sure.

I would absoultely agree with you on the fact that FI is the best HP/$ Ratio, however it is ALOT of cash to do it safely.

The 07 Z will be even easier to hit 12's based on the impressive times posted by the new G35 Sedan. Unless it gets's too heavy. New G35 Weight=3583? Car is .6 sec faster in the quarter and 5MPH faster trap than previous G. This is from car and deriver so take it for what it is worth. Since the new Z isn't out yet and hasn't been tested we can only guess. My prediction Would be the new Z will run the quarter in roughly 13.4 secs with a trap 105 MPH.

What do you drive Skater?
