I sort of doubt the G35 could use the 350Z roadster parts. The top on the Z (and the cover) go where the rear seat of the G35 is.
If they make the G35 as a roadster they would also have to make it a 2 seater at which point why bother? A 2 seat G35 is a Z anyway.
Just my $0.02 I could be wrong.

Come on guys, think about it....when is this last time you can remember the US of A getting anything really cool BEFORE the Japanese market???? Yeah, that's what I thought.....if it EVER does happen Japan will get it 1st and we will get sloppy 2nds.

Infiniti had a convertible before. You guys remember the Infiniti M30? (my first car by the way) It came in a convertible form. I don't think any other coupe ever wore the Infiniti badge until the G35.
If any of you guys ever seen the movie: Three Kings... (Clooney, Walhberg, Cube) Ice Cube's character was all stoked about getting to see the Infiniti convertible but in the end it blew up.
