Infinity G35= skyline
In my personal opinion, no car should be called the skyline expect the R43-GTR, the other skylines should just be called R33 or R32 and stuff. The Infinity should never be called a Skyline, because its no way near the reputation and grade of a skyline..
Like i said, all what was just written is my own personal opinion, so please dont stab me....

welcome to 4 years ago...for a second i thought an old thread got ressurected. Just like the Z is called the Fairlady in Japan, the 350GT Skyline is badged by Infinity over here, and is called the G35C. but nevertheless, it is still a skyline, though not the best one. go read the Gt-R threads and you will see they used this current platform as a test mule for the new car, plus there will be a lot more similarities between the two cars that you would expect. and did you know, the skyline was never marketed ad a sports car? it was marketed as a luxury car originally but some really smart people got together and found out that the engines were easily tuned and it was possible to make the ultimate sleeper, hence Nissan waking up and gearing the car for a mix of performance and style. now please, before you go and start making uneducated posts and polls about what you think is right and wrong, please do some homework and learn a bit about the car.

Infinity is an American gimick to drive sales, in Japan they are all Nissans. Kinda like Honda and Acura, there are no Acura Integras in Japan only Honda Integras. This should be common knowledge to an entusiast.

First of all, it is Infiniti, not Infinity.
Second of all, I had a buddy who lived in Japan about 10 years ago and he owned a Skyline. It was his beater car that he would take up the mountains and run the **** out of. It was nothing special at all.
The Skyline name isn't sacred at all.
The GT-R badge is.
In Japan the Skyline is just another car, but the GT-R is a beast.

LET IT DIE ALREADY.
The Infiniti G35 is the Nissan Skyline in Japan whether you like it or not. If you can't deal with that STFU and write a letter to Carlos Ghosn about how you feel about the issue.

The name Skyline has been around since 1955 as the Prince Motor Company Skyline ALSI-1. So if anything the GT-R, should be called simply the GT-R. Here is the Skyline GT350 as sold in Australia.

WoW, your first post and you've been here since Oct. 2005.
Well you better go back to Infiniti then and complain. Tell them to swap everything like the body shell, trunk, hood, engine, etc.... cause it's all labeled Nissan.
But maybe you have a rare one that's a Complete Infiniti all around.

i dont beleive it should be called skyline. it doesnt even look like a sports car. the only car i would call skyline are the old models and new gt-r coming out. never ever call g35 skyline its a disgrace.
