G37 vs 996 porsche around the track...
this must have happened in "opposite world" as in the real world the G37 would have gotten demolished by the 996...

based on the driving line that 996 is taking, and what appears to be a whole lot of jerkiness in the beginning of the video, I would say the driver is an extreme novice to the track (and stick shift).

and it's a rear engined car... not for a novice...
but also, what trim level was that carrera? not all of them are amazing crazy machines. I'll use a 2003 911 carrera C2 (since that car is narrow bodied and the wing is down it's neither a c4s or turbo and has the egg headlights)
the car has 317hp/273tq / 3000lbs and a high 12 second 1/4 mile.

996 carerra's are by no means a fast car.. and as far as handling my z keeps up with them no problem..
my friend has a 996 and we raced multiple times. on the highway he's a bit faster, same in the 1/4, but they're NOT fast cars and certainly not better in handling.
