what button removes messages? O_o

Well, if your oil lamp light came on, doesn't that mean you are running on low oil? You may have to go to the dealer to clear the code that its throwing. What year is your car? Have you checked your oil level lately? What are your oil psi values idle/normal use.

edit: I realized I am in the G section and not the Z. haha. Aside from my button question, everything else still pertains.

read your owners manual. there is no such thing an an oil filter light. For that to come on you are probably low enough on oil to potentially damage the engine.

Member since 2004...83 posts...3000miles...oil filter light...lol...sry.

All I can think is OP recently got a G37? Think those have maintenance reset buttons. On Navi touchscreen too I think, or is this an oil pressure light thats illuminated.

If I'm correct with oil pressure light, then this might be the first VQ37VHR with oil consumption issues or Dealer didn't put enough oil in his G after service and/or there wasn't enough oil day one new and was never checked

Read manual or take back to Dealer to reset/add oil/whatever and explain.

its low oil indicator, its low enough to where it wont read on the dipstick (atleast one quart) you need to take it back to the dealer. Replace the engine or lemon law it

i bought a 08 g37. and oil filter light is constantly on. i had my oil changed so its not low or filter problem. the reset button for the g37 is to the side of the center consul. you press in for a couple seconds and the light will go away but when you trun the car back on it returns. i read the owners manual without finding an answer. please help. hold all useless comments. my engine is not dead.

Your assuming there isnt, but Yes there is. On my Navigation there is a Oil and Oil Filter Info Screen. You can set how many miles before it sets off an alarm to you. Once you reached the limit it pops up PIT STOP required. Oil Change and Oil Filter needs to be replaced. This screen comes on before the prompt to agree on the Navigation Screen. BTW I have an 04 Touring.
