Today I installed my test pipes after work. The install was smooth and went pretty easily. Nuts were rusty but broke loose fine. Here are some process pictures and sound clips. I'll get a fly by video tomorrow or sometime this weekend.










Uhh yea, the "Service Engine Soon" light came on very shortly after, on the way home. Oh well...haha.

wow thts a rusty under carriage, you need to get some serious rust inhibitor or your going to have real problem in the next couple of years. Do you live right near the beach or super cold/salt on the road area? Ive never seen such a new car with rust like that!

 

you need non foulers to stop the check engine light. Search non fouler I just posted a thread about how to make your own non foulers for $10 bucks.

 

So defoulers prevent the SES light? I'll probably be ordering myself Fast Intetions test pipes, and I was wondering how to prevent the SES.

sounds a lot less restrictive with TP. Yeah...try the nonfouler method and reset SES light. Some 03 models do not require nonfoulers though, most do.

some TPs come with CEL fix already built-in.

Sounds good, definitely get some non-foulers because that SES light will eventually annoy the crap out of you like it did with me. With non-foulers mine came back on after 1950 miles, reset the ecu and it's off for now, hopefully until after I trade my Z in for my G...
