DIY G35 Sports Paddle Shifters???
#21
I installed this yesterday. Jason had mistakenly sent me the wrong trim parts, and I only discovered that once I had taken everything apart, and was ready to put the 'new trim' parts back on. Anyway, I ended up deciding this morning to just install it without the lower trim until I can get that part. I ordered it from my local dealer, and Jason will refund me for that portion of the kit. The part is on backorder (in wheat), so I'm not sure when I'll get it.
Anyway, other than the steering wheel power up/down switch hanging down from the steering area, everything works great, and the paddle shifters are amazing. I'm enjoying driving my car so much more with the paddles.
Thanks so much Lemodular!! Also, the things I struggled with most are the T-30 torx screws - they were very tight as per other people's observations, and also I struggled with unplugging the steering wheel control plug. I ended up using a thin nose plier to get that out. I also struggled a little bit when putting everything back in because one of the airbag cables got caught in between the steering wheel and the trim behind it. I didn't notice this until I drove, and heard the scraping of this cable against the trim. So I had to redo it.
Cheers
Tamir

hey guys, I wrote a guide for installing paddle shifters on any Nissan/ Infiniti. the guide can be seen here
this guide is more meant for cars that didn't have the option of paddle shifters, & should be applicable to the G's & the Z's, as well as the M's & the FX's... it's not 100% complete yet, but has a lot of info needed to pull this off. as I gather more input from other cars I'll be adding that to the guide
I'm going to post this in the DIY section so the Z's can see it too

Does anyone have pictures of the wheat paddles? I ordered wheat - box says wheat - but the paddles look silver and gray. Not beige, which is what I was expecting for "wheat".
Thanks.
Thanks.
