Painted Black Headlights
Just finished removing, painting, and installing my headlights. Let me know what you think.
Update. I was bored yesterday so I painted the inside of my clear corners too. I think they came out pretty good. They look smoked but without any loss of light output. Pics are at the bottom of this post.

Make sure you prep them very carefully. Sand things down and maybe even use some sort of an adhesion promoter in addition to the primer. I just used a primer and the paint seemed a tiny bit more fragile than I would have hoped. Other than that just take your time. This was a practice set for me. I'm working on a quad projector retrofit and I wanted to try painting the housings before attempting it on my big project.

^ Never too many question, I'm happy to help. I used a spray can of dupli-color primer and flat black enamel. After I'd sanded the housing a little I used a couple of coats of primer and if anything looked like it needed a little wet sanding I did it then. After that I used the flat black enamel and used several coats. I wet sanded if needed but left it alone after the final coat. The trick to getting it to come out smooth is to use multiple light coats. Too much and it starts to drip. If you have any other questions let me know.
