Default How to connect Ipod to Bose stereo?

I've got an '03 G35 with the factory Bose system. I presently use a Griffin thingie to play my Ipod (it plugs in to a cig lighter and plays music over an unused radio frequency). The sound quality is not great, and in areas where there are a lot of radio stations, I have to looking for an open frequency. A lot of new cars have a built-in jack so that you can plug any mp3 player in directly. Can the Bose system somehow be adapted to do that? Ideally, I'd like a cable hardwired (or plugged) into the radio which could be plugged into the headphone jack of the Ipod. Thanks for your thoughts.

The BOSE systems don't have an aux input. There's a way to do it, but it involves taking your headunit apart and soldering in some connections.

Ben - that is something that I'm willing to do, and able to do with some guidance and knowledge. Any info, pic, wiring diagrams, etc., that you (or anyone else) could provide is appreciated.

Z - yes, it does have the cassette tape, but I wanted to avoid the inevitable loss of sounds quality and additional noise (tape hiss) caused by running the sound through the tape head. Also, I was looking to wire up somehting a little more discrete than having the wire poke out of the middle of the console.

You need the USA-Spec PA11-NIS. I have it in my '03 350Z and it works great.
