Dumb question:checked your power steering fluid level?
3,000 miles..under warranty-take it to a dealer.

The fluid level is fine. I will take it to the dealer. Just want to know what might be the cause, so I can advise the tech instead of getting bs

Agree. The motor is driving something that is broken. Water pump? Don't know. Take the car to the shop now.

I can't reproduce the noise when cold start, then rev to 3000 rpm a few times. The noise only happens after driving for a while.

Coming from the top of the motor near the back? It has to be something in the valve train or an injector. It sounds to me like injector noise but it shouldn't be that loud. You shouldn't be able to hear one injector over the others like that.

Question

UPDATE:
After driving for a while to reproduce the noise which can only be heard at idle, I restart the engine, the noise is gone. Someone said it was VVEL knocking, there is a TSB for it to update ECU/ECM, but that was for 2008 model. Mine is 2011 with 3000 miles.
