Default Finished, G35 5AT Greddy TT

Just drove home from IPDG with my 2003 G35 5AT Greddy TT. This baby hauls, pulls like a dawg, and is killing my tires.
I plan to return to the Dyno tomorrow or Saturday to see the true results, but at this point I am very, very happy.
After David at IPDG did his magic the car is runing perfect, tranny and all.
I will try to get a video of the Dyno, or at least the tires burning through the first 3 gears when I had to left up the gas to connect.
A month ago the DFW G35 club had a dyno day and I pulled 232 HP & 216 Torque.
G35 5AT Greddy TT
Again Thanks to David & Aaron at IPDG.

To answer a few questions I have been getting, the Greddy kit is the G35 6spd kit. David at IPDG modified a few minor items on the kit, very minor. Everything bolted up fine. The tranny is totaly stock right now, the only mods I have are the Greddy TT, Grounding Kit, RT Cats and a Total custom exhaust at Kinney Muffler in Hurst, TX.
I can tell you from the gasket we blew in the beginning that the factory Y pipe has to go. The factory Y pipe is only about 2" inside the flex. If you can get to Hurst, TX I would HIGHLY recommend talking to Kirk (owner of Kinney Muffler). He has a custom system from cats back, competely sealed 2 1/2" dual system with factory style Y pipe in 2 1/2" with flex, X pipe, resinators, and Dynaflow with factory looking tips.
Right now the tranny loves the system, but you will need to have the greddy e-manage tuned properly along with a few minor additions. David at IPDG has the system down cold now.
I will be dynoing today or Monday for a before and after results.
This system is set up very conservative, 5.8 lbs with a little rich fuel to be safe.

You should also look at the Borla. It is a true dual cat-back. It keeps 2 separate pipes all the way to the muffler. There is a single muffler, but it has both tubes running separately directly through it. Plus it is only slightly louder than stock with no resonation.

Dyno result are in 345 HP & .375 Torque.
As you can see I started 232 HP & 216 Torque, I can REALLY feel the torque increase.

Did the wiring for the e-manage were the same colors as the instructions? I am intalling on a 04' and the colors don't match.

I'm trying to find a good shop here in CA but cant seem to find one that will match your shops price.I'll be looking for a good company to ship my car over there ASAP.maybe I could drive half way, ship it from there & drive back after install.
I think we have the same model/year.what size tires do you have?
drive safe!

Wow, do you know how much WHP difference a 100 changes a car. A lot, there's so many people in the building all motor set up that will never catch up to this kind of money/whp ratio. I give him props for doing it. Spending money on what you enjoy and I give 350z forums David props for making this kit work. Even thou so many big tuners have turned the possibility down.

345 whp on a bolt on kit. People on this forum are making around 400 whp with all bolt on added and 6.5 psi. He's only a few tuning away from your numbers. But he have nothing to prove. These are very solid numbers, he can chase Z06 already. And the car will run rich and conservative, reliable all day long.

Just my opinion.

Jeff

345RWHP is a lot! Thats probably over 400 at the crank. Personally, you cant add a whole lot more streetable HP than that!?

How's the traction in your car now? All the guys with the Z's said their wheels are spinning in all gears with no traction. I was wondering if the G is any better.

admitedly, I dont know anything about my engine in the g35. I just got it. I been in the honda scene for about 6 years. guys are making 400 whp on a stock block with a big turbo. Its true, the engine will only last about 10k miles, and the honda engine cost little to nothing to replace, but i am wanting to see some numbers from guys that can afford to push this engine to the max capabilities and afford to blow it.

why would you want something that only lasts 10k miles? reliability is key... unless you are building a track monster
