Default noise heard while switching gears

I have noticed that on and off I hear a noise while switching gears. It sounds like a clicking sound from underneath the car. Sometimes it's there and sometimes it's not. If I'm sitting in neutral and I hold down the clutch and put it into 2nd, then 3rd and 4th and back down the gears I hear the noise underneath the car. It's clicking into each gear and then sometimes it will go away. Does anybody know what this is? Do I have a tranny problem? I am going to bring it back to the dealer but I just wnat to see if anybody knows what it could be?

it may help you isolate the sound if you have a buddy sit in the car and shift while you listen near the underside of the car to see exactly where the noise comes from.

Prech on lol , but anyway about the car, play dumb walk in the dealer and say ur transmission is making weird noises. Dealer should look at it for ya if the r kewl for free . (btw some people complain about the trans on the G) , ur dealer knows this plus i read that Nissan had a lot of trans shipped out to dealers if people complained ..enough they would actually swap them. Also go to Freshalloy.com there is some of this info i was talking about and G35driver.com too. Might not be the trans might be ur gears or the engaging mechanism. Never know might be something stupid and cheap to fix ...hopefully good luck .
