Default window motor

Does the g35 coupes window go down when the door is opened and goes up when the door is closed like on the 350z?

Then why is it that I haven't heard of g35 owners complaining about their window motor breaking? I wonder.

Thats really funny, when I saw this thread it made me wonder if the Zs are having the same window issues as the G35s. The window motors going out is very common, but I've never heard that it was related to the windows cracking when you open the door. Most people agree that the motors are just low quality, and that supposedely there is a better version out now.

Default Window motor

My window motor went out last week. Dealer replaced it under warranty. I know a couple other coupe drivers with similar experiences.

Mine went out this morning while the window was down, but it started to work again 8 hours later in the day. I will have an appointment soon to get it looked at.

Hmm weird. Was it the driver side? I rolled my passenger side window down from the passenger switch and it would not come up. I then tried the passenger window switch on the driverside door and no luck. Turned the car on..off...on..reset ecu etc. with no luck. After that I pushed the window lock down and then up and viola.

I just had my driver's side window motor replaced and now I notice that it goes up much faster than the passenger side. I guess that one is next. Gotta love the warranty.

Does anybody know if the G35's window motor, specifically from a coupe, is the same window motor in the 350Z or not?

the motor is going to continue to have problems.. the nissan motors were designed w/out vents.. Carbon filings clog the sensors.. The ONLY way to fix this is to disassemble the motor, clean the sensors, regrease and replace.. even if you get a new motor, you'll eventually have this problem again..

I know people on their 4th and 5th motor on driver and passenger sides.. It's a known problem.. won't go away..

Isn't it strange that these 2 cars are almost identical in parts, but we sometimes forget to check the other forum to see if they are experience the same issue/headache? Before I bought my 2003 350z, I thought it was only the Z that had the tire feathering issue.

Window motors and actuators crap out on a regular basis with G35s. This was just one more reason for taking out the Infiniti Elite extended warranty.
