what toda says is that the more mods you have, the more hp gain the ITB will show. i highly respect toda for their race engines and wouldnt doubt their claims. and once you tune it, you should be alright, unless you want to add more mods to it.

Toda is a proven company. I wouldn't doubt their claims either. The tuning isn't that bad, but it requires patience. This isn't a mod that you can just install, then drive away. It would have to be tuned one the spot. Once it's tuned, you won't have to adjust anything unless you modify the engine further.

As mentioned above, you would definitely need additional mods in order for the ITBs to show it's true potential.

Off topic for a second, on the ITBs you had before, was the idle pretty rough? How was streetability?

It idled great, but it wasn't as quiet as stock (of course!). It was tuned great, and it was loud at WOT..........but beautifully loud. Its streetability was good due to the tuning, but other people that I knew w/ ITB's did have idling issues (again, due to bad tuning). I used the filters over the air horns during most street driving as well.

idle would be smoother as each cylinder gets the perfect amount of air that it needs.

For that much money (everything else on top of the ITB's). Couldn't you just buy the stroker kit for our G and be running roughly the same horse power? Isn't the full stroker kit like 6 or 7K? Or is it just the sound of the ITB's the goes with it? Just looking for some education.

Depends on how far into the motor you want to go. The stroker kit will be more expensive, require the motor to be opened up, etc. etc......so install will cost more as well, and you might be without your vehicle longer.

I highly doubt Toda's kit will be near that much.
