Dude, the point is, its retarded to buy a new one for $40 if you are throwing it away, just buy a paper filter. As long as you oil it and let it dry properly, then you have no problems. I have used k&N filters for 10 years, not 1 problem. Oh, and I have never ever replaced the filter, cleaned it with the $10 recharge kit. I saved $100's.

You are just wasting $.

So the next time you throw one away, PM me, I will send you postage and then I will re-oil it and sell it for $20, LOL!

Different strokes for different folks. To me, $40 every 15000 miles is nothing. I rather spend it for a brand-spanking new filter than to bother cleaning, reoiling, and waiting for the filter to dry before putting it back on the car. It may sound stupid to you, but the time saved and the reduced risk to the sensor is worth more to me than the money saved.
