Default crawford cats vs kinetix race pipes w/resonators?

does anyone have experience with both and how they compare?

I have the crawfords on right now and am considering the kinetix - do they sound more aggressive?

I had the Kinetix Resonated Test Pipes then switched to their High Flow Cats for a comparison. The Test Pipes sounded more aggressive with some rasp. The Cats have no rasp. Power gains felt about the same.

I beleive that the Crawfrod And Kinetix Cats are fairly similiar performance wise.

Hope that helps.

thanks, I can't stand rasp

I have the crawfords on right now and they're great, was just wondering if the kinetix pipes were noticably more aggressive, lighter weight, and still have no rasp - they claim there's no rasp, but always gotta take that with a grain of salt

I have the kinetix with a borla TD & Nismo headers, and I have no rasp at all. Sounds great!

I think the rasp will depend on what exhaust you have. I have the Injen SES which is one of the loader set ups out there.

Aggressive sound wise they were a little more so than the high flow cats maybe 2-3 dbs with more bark. Weights were fairly close, now I wish I put them both on a scale.

you're talking about the kinetix test pipes w/resonators right?

just so I understand fully, the kinetix test pipes w/resonators are completely hollow right? I mean you could drop a golf ball in one end and it'll fall out the other end right?

do you think it'll throw off my A/F ratio much at all compared to the crawford cats?

Both crawford and Test Pipes will lean out your A/F some. The crawford should not be as drastic, however. And test pipes are a straight through design.

I already have crawford cats and TS tuned my ECU in their shop to get a good A/F ratio. But now I'm considering the Kinetix test pipes - or down the road anyway if I decide I want a more aggressive sound etc. From what I gather, their test pipes put out roughly the same power as the Crawfords, but just wondering if I took my crawford cats off and put the Kinetix pipes on, that'd probably just make me ever so slightly more lean than with the crawford cats right?

It will lean you out more, but with a tune, test pipes will make more power!
