Default K&N oil filter question......

How many oil filters do K&N make that are designed for the Z? I bought a 1008 the other day but haven't changed oil yet. On this website, I have heard people talking about a 1006 (I think that was the #), and it me wondering if I got the right one. The 1008 seems very tiny to me. Can anyone shed some light here?

Also, is there anything else I need to know before changing my own oil? I've changed it on all my other vehicles over the years, but never on a foreign sports car.

Spank you very much.

HP-1008 is the CORRECT part number. It is used on the 350Z and G35, I know because I have it on both cars and installed it on a couple customer cars.

The only thing you might want to consider doing while changing the oil on your Z is removing the center diffuser cover. Although there is enough room for you to access the drain plug and filter, it might get on your way if its your first time, on the filter side.

Other than that, it's the same concept, regardless of it being an import or domestic.

Happy Wrenching!
