Steel bolts (assuming 300 series steel) have are minimum 75-ksi ultimate tensile strength and 6061-T6 Aluminum has a minimum 45ksi ultimate tensile strength. (with a fatigue strength of 13.8 ksi)

Odds are the steel bolt was installed incorrectly or it was just installed one too many times. There is a reason steel inserts were created and this is it.

I was considering this product and finally got a price quote from Motordyne. At first I was thinking $200 wouldnt be so bad. But was rethinking it and I dont really think its worth $200. Considering, how much does this prodcut really cost to make? I'm going to order my Crawford Plenum instead. The spacers have yet to be proven with Forced Induction and that is my future goal.

Good Luck guys.

There is a group buy on G35Driver right now that ends on 2/14:

http://g35driver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42357

1/4" spacer for $146 (fits stock 350Z WITH strut bar)
3/8" spacer for $161 (fits stock G35 with no modification to engine cover)
1/2" spacer for $184 (bigger is better? =)

These are prices based on having at least 15 buyers and there are currently ~35, so they may drop even more.

Hydrazine extended it two weeks out so several individuals can have a chance to do their own dyno testing and give everyone even more objective feedback. I signed up to lock in a very reasonable price while I wait for more results before plunking down the cash...

The 1/2" spacer will fit the 350Z minus the engine cover and strut bar? It does clear the hood?
