Hey Everyone!

Just shipped 19 units today! More should go out on Monday. We cut the production run short so that we could get these out to you all. Thanks for your patience.

I will send out tracking numbers over the next couple of days. Pleas bear with me because I have to email each one individually.

We need your VIN number to get the gaskets from NISSAN!

Please help us out. Nissan NA is delaying gasket shipments. If everyone can email me their vin number then I can get the gaskets.

Please email to daves@alteredatmosphere.com

What's up with this VIN issue? Nissan NA wanting to track so they can deny warranty work later?

I doubt it, they couldnt do that...maybe its just so they give priority to individual customers rather then sell their whole stock to a shop.

No no nothing like that. There are two channels to get parts for Nissan vehicles.

1. Standard Dealer Order
(The parts are shipped when the entire lot is able to be filled. Large orders create backorders and sometimes Nissan will hold them up. We have already been delayed gasket shipments twice. We have a some left in stock but not enough to fufil the entire order)
2. Nissan Customer Care Order
(This is a seperate channel that is used for customer cars at the dealership or repair shop to expidite the order. )

The Magnus-Moss Warraty Act insures that the dealer must PROVE that the part caused any damage and then they can void a warranty. Also, Nissan is not being Mitsubishi

Fortunetly with privacy laws the way they are now it does no one any good to know your VIN. Most state vehicle registration bodies do not even allow information to be released on tag numbers...something that is readily visible.

We do have SOME gaskets and more coming in (delayed). The VIN request was more in the spirit of expediting the orders. I most likely will be able to send your kit out with a gasket but we would rather make sure 100% that everyone has the required parts.

Think there may be another group buy on these plenum spacers once things die down a bit? Seems like there'd be sufficient interest for at least another 20+, which would help prices some, anyway, hope once this dies down you all at AAM would consider doing it one more time

So if we don't send in our VIN#, we don't get all the parts?

Or do we have to wait till you get the parts? in a mass order?

what if we have a G35? will the VIN work at a nissan dealer?

Are you sending out emails to those who were in the original shipment of 19 units? I think I was # 3 or 4 on the list.

What about the people who ordered from overseas? I assume that my VIN isn't much good to you guys in USA since Nissan America wouldn't have it on their list anyway.

i dont like this vin idea. this gives nissan all the more reason to deny warranty work seeing as how they sell a washer to your vin and then you have no registered work with a nissan dealer. i for one will not be giving you guys my vin. if that is the only way i can get my parts then please refund my money.
